BMS seeks nominations for new entrepreneur project

PRESS HERE TO NOMINATE AN ENTREPRENEUR

One of my favorite books in the Bible is the Book of Proverbs written by Solomon, king of Israel and son of David. Solomon wrote the Book of Proverbs to teach his people how to live and how to act in every circumstance. He wanted his people to be understanding, just and fair in everything they did. He said, “I want to make the simple-minded wise and I want to warn young men about some problems they will face … I want those already wise to become wiser and become leaders by exploring the depths of meaning and these nuggets of truth.”

I started BIC Media Solutions in 2005 to help people find greater peace, happiness, and success through meaningful media, whether it be a book, film or speaking event. Solomon asked the question, “How does a man become wise?” His response to this question was to “trust and reverence the lord.” In my “From the Publisher” article on pg. 8, my topic is becoming a better person. Let’s face it: No matter how passionate the writer is, how well researched the topic is or how well written the article is, we simply can’t cover a topic of this importance in one page. We can, however, plant the seeds of thoughts for each of us. We can use these seeds as foundations to develop our own lists of how to live and how to become a better person.

I recently asked my wife if she remembered the exact moment she decided to become a better person. She answered immediately, “It was the day I decided to become a Christian and be baptized. A feel- ing of peace came over me that I had never experienced before. With that peace came a greater love for mankind and the desire to become a better person.”

Since learning how to live a more peaceful, happier and successful life is something all of us strive to do, I thought I’d use this BIC Media Solutions update to solicit com- ments and thoughts on the 12 easy-to-re- member steps to becoming a better person. Not only that — if you want to expand on the 12 steps, I welcome it. Among the projects BIC Media Solutions is considering right now is developing a book and/or film titled “The Making of an Entrepreneur.” Other top priorities for BIC Media Solutions include updating our first book, “It’s What We Do Together That Counts: The BIC Alliance Story,” and devel- oping a leadership conference in 2018.

Adding to its library of leadership products, including “Energy Entrepreneurs” and “Industry Achievers,” BIC Media Solutions is reaching out to a who’s who in the energy industry and other sectors to identify successful entrepreneurs.

‘The Making of an Entrepreneur’

Adding to our library of leadership products, including “Energy Entrepreneurs” and “Industry Achievers,” we are reaching out to a who’s who in the energy, industrial, financial, private equity and media/ entertainment sectors, and broadening our scope to sports, food, hospitality, real estate, health care, professional retail and more, to identify successful entrepreneurs in various industries who can teach, guide and inspire other entrepreneurs.

By highlighting a dozen or so executives, we hope to dig into some tough questions about how they were inspired, the obstacles they faced, the balance of personal life, the role of faith and helpful tips from their hard-earned experiences to provide insight for those just starting out with a brilliant business idea — or for those already in business wanting to improve.

We firmly believe it is smarter to learn from others’ mistakes and experiences than your own so you have a head start in reach- ing your goals. We hope to pass along valuable lessons and insights garnered from these case studies.

BIC Media Solutions’ goal right now is to collect nominations of the most inspirational and charismatic business icons, no matter the industry. Then, we will consider publishing a book highlighting these entrepreneurs, creating a TV series and ultimate- ly inviting them to be part of BIC Media Solutions’ leadership conference. We hope to bring together the nation’s most energetic and inspirational thought leaders in business to help each one of us become a successful entrepreneur, reach our highest goals in life and make the world a better place.

We are currently accepting nominations for C-level business leaders/entrepreneurs within the energy and industrial sectors and beyond. Please send your nominations via email to earlheard@bicalliance. com or cevans@bicalliance.com, or visit http://bicmediasolutions.com/2017/07/27/ seeking-entrepreneurs.

Updating ‘It’s What We Do Together That Counts’

BIC Media Solutions’ first book, “It’s What We Do Together That Counts: The BIC Alliance Story,” is about faith, overcoming adversity, perseverance and entrepreneur- ship. It is part memoir, part inspiration and part collection of practical lessons for entrepreneurs. Twelve years have passed since the release of “It’s What We Do Together That Counts: The BIC Alliance Story,” and a lot has changed. This is why we’re in the process of updating and re-releasing this book. The story of BIC Alliance past 2005 needs to be told. We hope this updated story will help others who are seeking greater peace, happiness, and success in their lives. Also, our plan is to produce a DVD — like we did with “Rock Bottom and BackTM” — about leadership to go alongside “It’s What We Do Together That Counts: The BIC Alliance Story.”

Wrapping up BIC Media’s latest book, film BIC Media Solutions recently finished filming our next movie, “Urban Country.” We are hoping to release “Urban Country” in late 2017 or early 2018. BIC Media Solutions is working on this film with the same team that brought BIC Media Solutions’ first movie, “A Gift Horse,” to the big screen. BIC Media Solutions is also wrapping up our latest book, a collaboration with TDS Inc. and LaunchPad Writing + Research. The book provides practical advice to equip new frontline supervisors for their transition from operators to successful supervisors. The book is scheduled to be released before the end of this year
